When I was about 8 years old, my mother had me take piano lessons. I had already been messing around with music but didn't really understand the true sacrifice that excellent musicians make to achieve the level of competency that I could only hope to imitate (at best). Later on, I picked up the guitar. In between my other musical activities (yes, I was a band geek) I wrote and released a two song cassette and sold it in high school. Needless to say, I sold out of all of them. The following year, I released another musical compilation and sold out of those as well. To this day, friends say they listen to my music nearly 20 years later. With continued inspiration and assistance from my brother Marc, I will post additional songs as I record them!
Here's my current collection: songs that are worthy of public display but are getting very old!. As I've said in the past, no Grammy material on this page... just the result of experimentation and fun. Enjoy and let me know what you think! |

In 1986, I was in a band with two close friends. Today, the friends remain, the band became history. The result was the desire to record a compilation of music that we could look back on and reminisce about the good 'ole days. That compilation of music became my first real effort at commercial music. At the age of 16, I began recording. By the age of 17, I had finished the recordings and put them on tape and called it Refractions. These songs are over 20 years old and were pulled from a cassette tape that was in less than perfect condition.
Songs recorded and engineered at Zenas Studio by Neil Harding.

In 1994, I found myself traveling between Florida, Massechussets, Michigan and back to Florida. In that time, I found myself searching for purpose and it was then that I was taken in by two of the greatest friends I've ever known.
This music was the result of simply having a good time and singing what was in our hearts. I was very active in church at the time; playing every week, sometimes 3 times a week for various get-togethers and church functions.

In the early 90's I came back to Michigan for about a year. In that time, I moved into a small house in Augusta, Michigan. Here I participated in a band with a group of guys who to this day remain great friends. We didn't really have a name - at least one that I remember. We ended up recording some music for Dennis Haddock, a guy I met at the Art Institute of Ft. Lauderdale. We became pals and ultimately got together to record this album. He and I co-wrote the entire album and was performed by Scott Green, Keith Kirvan, Dennis Haddock and me. It's got some rock, some roll and some cheese - it also has some swear words: you have been warned.
